Six shopping malls in Nha Trang — three on Tran Phu beachfront, the rest within Grab range. Each with its own specialty.

The short version: there are six shopping malls in Nha Trang worth knowing about. Three of them — Nha Trang Center, Vincom Plaza and AB Central Square — sit right on the Trần Phú beachfront. So you can walk to them straight from the sand. A little further out, you’ll also find Gold Coast (central, near the sea) and Lotte Mart (a hypermarket in Tân Lập). Finally, there’s GO! Nha Trang (formerly Big C), out on the edge of town and the best bet for groceries. In short: head to Gold Coast and Vincom for brand-name fashion. Meanwhile, Lotte Mart and GO! win for food and souvenirs. And in the rain or heat, any of them works.

Below is a breakdown of each mall: where it is, what’s inside, what to buy and what to watch out for. At the end, you’ll also find practical notes on payment, prices and hours, plus answers to common questions.

Quick guide: which mall for which job

If you’d rather not read everything, here’s the cheat sheet:

  • Brand-name clothing and shoes (Nike, Adidas, Pandora): Gold Coast Mall, Vincom Plaza.
  • Groceries, water, snacks for the room: GO! Nha Trang, Lotte Mart.
  • Souvenirs — coffee, cashews, spices to take home: Lotte Mart, GO!, where they’re cheaper.
  • Cinema, bowling, family entertainment: Vincom Plaza, Nha Trang Center, GO!.
  • Escaping rain or noon heat near the beach: Nha Trang Center, AB Central Square, Vincom — all on Trần Phú.
  • Cosmetics and perfume: Lotte Mart, Gold Coast.

Now for the detail.

Nha Trang Center

The city’s best-known and oldest mall. It opened in 2011, the first of its kind in Nha Trang. So by 2026 it feels a touch dated next to the newer centres. Still, its trump card is location. It stands right on the front line of the Trần Phú promenade, two minutes from the beach. The InterContinental hotel is next door. As a result, it’s an ideal spot to combine a swim with some shopping.

Inside, you’ll find clothing and accessory shops, cafés and small restaurants. There’s also a supermarket on the lower level. In addition, the entertainment zone has a bowling alley that locals and visitors both rate. It’s a pleasant place for a coffee overlooking the street. Besides, you can wander without the crowds of the newer malls. So if you’re staying along Trần Phú, this is your nearest option.

Vincom Plaza (Trần Phú)

A modern mall from the Vincom chain. It’s one of the most popular in the city with tourists and locals alike. It too sits by the promenade, within walking distance of the central beach. Inside are more than 50 fashion and cosmetics brands. There’s also a Lotte Cinema and the SPEEDBOWL complex, with bowling, arcade games and a kids’ zone. So it’s a strong choice for families: the adults shop while the kids stay busy.

One thing to get right, however: Nha Trang has two Vincom malls. The one on the seafront, Vincom Plaza Trần Phú, is the tourist-friendly option. By contrast, Vincom Plaza Thái Nguyên leans towards locals and isn’t on the beachfront. So if your map app offers two choices, pick Trần Phú for shopping by the sea.

Gold Coast Mall

If you’re after brands, this is the place. Gold Coast sits in the heart of the city near the sea (address: 01 Trần Hưng Đạo). In total, it gathers more than 100 labels under one roof. For example, you’ll find Nike, Adidas, Pandora and the Vietnamese jewellery giant PNJ. There’s also sportswear from Delta Sport and Xtep, plus beauty from The Body Shop and Himalaya. For electronics and homeware, look to Casio, Dyson and the ever-popular Mr.DIY. There’s a Galaxy Cine+ cinema too.

Opening hours run 09:30 to 22:00, and later on Sundays, until 23:30. Overall, this is the most «urban»-feeling mall. So go with shopping in mind, rather than just to escape the heat.

Lotte Mart Nha Trang

A four-storey Korean hypermarket — and the best place in town to stock up at once. The address is 58–23 Tháng 10, in Tân Lập. It’s open daily from 08:00 to 22:00. Across its floors, you’ll find electronics, clothing and food from around the world. There’s also jewellery, cosmetics and perfume, plus a games area for children.

Visitors like Lotte Mart for two reasons. First, it’s the easy choice for groceries, water and room snacks. At the same time, it’s great for souvenirs. Vietnamese coffee, cashews, dried fruit and spices all cost far less here than in the tourist stalls. Second, the lower floors often run discounts. One tip: bring your own bag, or buy one at the till, as is standard in Vietnam.

GO! Nha Trang (formerly Big C)

A large, modern mall from the Central Retail chain. It’s the one previously called Big C, and many still use that name. However, it’s not in the centre. Instead, it sits in the Vĩnh Điềm Trung area on 19/5 Street. So you’ll need a taxi or Grab to reach it — 10–20 minutes from the promenade. In return, you get one of the city’s biggest centres. It’s also the best option for groceries: a huge supermarket with fresh meat, vegetables and a vast range of seasonings at local prices.

Beyond the supermarket, there’s a CGV cinema, an arcade and restaurants. There’s also a large food court with Korean and Vietnamese cuisine, plus fast food from Lotteria and Jollibee. Opening hours run 08:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, and until 22:30 at weekends. So if you’re renting an apartment with a kitchen, this is the cheapest place to shop.

AB Central Square

Another seafront centre, at 44 Trần Phú, in the touristy heart of Nha Trang. It’s open 09:30 to 22:00, until 23:30 on Sundays. Inside is the full set: fashion shops, a supermarket and restaurants with Asian and European food. There’s also a spa, a cinema and entertainment zones. Overall, the format is all-purpose. So it’s handy if you’re strolling along Trần Phú and want everything at once.

Shopping malls in Nha Trang: payment, prices, hours

Payment. Cards (Visa/Mastercard) are accepted almost everywhere in the malls. However, in the smaller boutiques and at food courts, it’s better to carry cash in Vietnamese đồng. Every mall also has ATMs.

Fixed prices. Unlike the markets (Chợ Đầm and the street stalls), malls don’t haggle. So the price tag is final. If you enjoy bargaining and cheap souvenirs, head to a market. By contrast, if you want quality, a warranty and air conditioning, go to a mall.

Opening hours. Shopping malls in Nha Trang open around 09:30–10:00 and run until 22:00, later at weekends. The hypermarkets, Lotte Mart and GO!, open earlier, at 08:00. Mornings are also the quietest, crowd-free time.

Getting there. The Trần Phú malls (Nha Trang Center, Vincom, AB Central) and Gold Coast are easy to reach on foot, or with a quick Grab. GO! and Lotte Mart, however, need a taxi or Grab.

Rainy season. From September to December, Nha Trang sees downpours (see the Nha Trang weather by month guide for detail). So the malls become a refuge — air conditioning, cinema, food court and shopping under one roof. On these days, active excursions are often rescheduled. That’s exactly when an indoor «plan B» helps.

What to do in Nha Trang besides shopping

A mall is great for a rainy day or a hot midday. Still, nobody comes to Nha Trang for the shops alone. In good weather, it’s worth heading out to the sea or up into the hills — see what else there is to see and do in a separate guide. So save the malls for the evening, or for bad weather.

Tisland Travel also runs excursions in Nha Trang for every taste. For example, there’s a city tour to the Cham towers, a Viet Breeze sunset cruise, a daytime sea party with snorkelling, and a night SUP among glowing plankton:
