Today we returned from a fantastic excursion, the Similan Islands – it was unforgettable! The main impression was: paradise on Earth! The nature here is incredible and worth every effort. The water is so clear that "even standing waist-deep, you can see every grain of sand," and the sand on the beaches is "fine as flour, and dazzlingly white." Snorkeling is the highlight of the program. Despite the long journey, this is one of those excursions that makes Phuket worth visiting. If you love the sea, vibrant experiences, and are willing to sacrifice one sleepy morning for a day in paradise, the Similan Islands will definitely not disappoint. Our guide, Vitaly, was great; he explained and showed us everything. Thank you to Treasure Island for this wonderful experience!
It was the most beautiful and unforgettable March 8th of my life! I can't describe how beautiful it was. From the crystal-clear blue water and white sand to the corals and their inhabitants 🩵🐠😘 Since I booked the excursion in advance, I chose a catamaran over a speedboat due to my fear of getting sick, as we had quite a distance to cover. And indeed, I don't get seasick at all on one! It wasn't the earliest departure, plus a catamaran can accommodate a lot more people than a speedboat, so the group was large, I think around 60 people, which adds some nuances. Compared to the previous excursion, we didn't have enough time at the locations, the packing process took longer, etc. The Similans are so beautiful that I wanted to take lots of beautiful photos and admire the underwater world to my heart's content, but time was running out so quickly)) but here it feels like there would never be enough. Nevertheless, we made it! However, we realized that a speedboat would probably have been more comfortable. It's worth noting that Sail Rock was the last location on this excursion, after two snorkeling sessions and during lunch, when it was already quite hot. It would have been more comfortable to take photos first and then swim, but as I wrote, a speedboat would have been more comfortable. Nevertheless, it was a stunning excursion! We were delighted by this nature and took some very beautiful, vibrant photos! Special thanks to our guide, Olga!
Thank you to TREASURE ISLAND for helping organize this excursion! The friendly managers helped me find a suitable option based on my travel needs. They asked if I had any back or neck problems, and recommended a boat with that in mind. 👍 I'm staying in Chalong, a non-tourist hotel located in the sports district. On the day of the excursion, the driver was 10 minutes late. However, I messaged the managers before his arrival, and they responded immediately, giving me the car number and saying the driver would be running a bit late. The driver, in a comfortable and convenient car, drove a small group of tourists of various nationalities to the pier. Upon arrival at Taplamu Pier, a 1.5-hour journey from Chalong, we were met by friendly organizers, checked in, and given multi-colored bracelets, each color corresponding to a specific group taking the excursion on a specific boat. The indoor, air-conditioned lobby next to the pier houses restrooms with showers, a shop, rental shops, and a buffet of light snacks. We had breakfast in the morning. Our large group traveling on the catamaran was then divided into three larger groups: Russian-speaking, English-speaking, and Chinese tourists. Each group had its own guide. The guides conducted a briefing before departure, after which everyone proceeded to the catamaran. At the pier, you're asked to remove and leave your shoes. I recommend aqua shoes, as you have to walk barefoot in public areas on the island (showers and restrooms). The climb up the cliff is also easier in aqua shoes. Then, it took us almost an hour and a half to reach Similan Island. Our guide, Vitaly, offered motion sickness pills at the pier and also consulted with those with back and neck problems, giving recommendations on seating arrangements on the catamaran. The catamaran offers cold water and cola included in the tour price, and they also provide towels and snorkeling masks. The first stop is snorkeling, where you can swim and explore the underwater world. Then we went to an island with white sand, where we had lunch. It was a buffet with a small selection of dishes, but it was quite good; you won't go hungry. We walked around the island with its soft white sand and swimming, then headed to the second island, where we snorkeled nearby. We then disembarked at the second island, where we swam, walked, and visited the observation deck. On the way back on the catamaran, we were treated to fruit and cookies, a light dinner upon arrival at the pier, a shower if needed, after which a transfer to the hotels. I recommend the excursion. When you see the national natural monument of Thailand, it is very beautiful. I recommend taking a change of light clothes and a shower towel, I came in handy on the way back. Thanks to TREASURE ISLAND, next time I will choose them again. The guide Vitaly was very friendly, he indicated that he would answer all questions and provide assistance if needed. I didn’t have to answer questions because everyone went their separate ways, some to the sea, some to the jungle.
The Similans are beautiful 😍 words can't describe it, you have to see it. My husband even managed to spot a turtle while snorkeling. I felt a little seasick, but I asked the guide for a pill, and it went away. Upon arrival at the pier, you can have breakfast if you didn't have time to order a lunchbox at the hotel reception.
Everything was great, a wonderful excursion, I recommend it.
I really enjoyed the Similan Islands tour. It was organized perfectly. Everything from the ride to the pier, breakfast, catamaran lunch, and dinner 👍. The guide was very pleasant, helpful, and explained everything. And of course, the islands themselves were amazing!!! A 10 out of 10 trip. I recommend it to everyone!!!
The tour was wonderful! They fed us, gave us drinks, and told us stories! Everything was top-notch!
