Yes, the tour is designed for beginners too. The guide gives an on-site briefing on how to handle the rod and tackle, so previous fishing experience isn't required. Rods and tackle are included in the price, with nothing extra to buy.
Yes, your caught grouper or catfish is cooked on the spot in traditional Vietnamese recipes — that's the lakeside lunch. Cooking the catch is optional; if the fish aren't biting that day, lunch is still part of the programme and is served by the lake.
Bring water and soft drinks, sun protection (SPF 50+ cream, sunglasses, a hat, a long-sleeved cotton shirt or pareo), comfortable footwear (flip-flops, sandals or crocs), a phone or camera, and waterproof cases if needed. Cash for personal expenses and tips is useful. Rods and tackle are provided by the guide.
Light rain usually doesn't cancel freshwater lake fishing — you can fish under shelter or during breaks. If severe weather is expected, contact the manager in advance: we'll offer a reschedule to another date or arrange a suitable alternative.
