We went on the two-day Andaman Dawn excursion, and I'm leaving an honest review with all the pros and cons. :) First, I'd like to point out that this excursion is more expensive than other providers offering similar programs, so our expectations for comfort were high. I'll start with the positives, and the first thing I'd like to mention is the charismatic guide Yuri, who created the atmosphere and mood throughout the trip. Thank you very much, it was a blast! The boat was quite spacious and comfortable, with cool drinks, fruit, and snacks always available. The Thai crew was very helpful and always helpful. The excursion program is quite action-packed, with many islands and beautiful locations. My only gripe with the program: the early departure was at 4:40 AM, and a fire show was scheduled for the same day from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM. However, by 6:00 PM we were exhausted and ready to sleep, and dinner wasn't until 6:45 PM. The next day, breakfast starts at 7 a.m., and by 8 a.m. we were off to another island. It's simply impossible to get enough sleep with such a schedule, so we had to skip the fire show. The biggest downside for me was the food. If you're not a fan of low-quality Thai food, you'll starve and eat plain white rice. Everywhere we ate was a buffet with questionable, tasteless dishes. The only ok options were fruit, if available, and white rice. After a long, busy day, we really wanted something tasty, but the food was disgusting... The hotel we stayed at on Phi Phi Don Island left a negative impression. The room was rather shabby and dirty; it looked like the table had hardly ever been cleaned. The bedding was also questionable; the duvet cover consisted of two sheets with a blanket in between. Ours fell apart, and it was difficult to get it back together. Overall, the food and accommodations were just like camping, although the islands have all the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable stay and meals. It's unclear what the pricing for this excursion is based on, and at the end of the excursion, we were literally asked to tip the guide and crew. 😁 Overall, the experience was positive, and we were left with a sea of wonderful emotions from the beautiful views. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
