The Similans at sunrise: a fairy tale worth waking up at 2 a.m. for! I want to share our delightful trip to the Similans with Treasure Island! It was one of the most magical trips we've ever had. We booked an early departure with great anticipation and haven't regretted it one bit! Yes, we had to get up at 2 a.m. and leave at 2:20 a.m., but it was worth it! To make the journey easier, we were given motion sickness pills before boarding the boat (it was important to me that they were individually wrapped—you can tell they cared about sterility). I practically slept through both the drive and the boat ride—it was incredibly comfortable. Special thanks to our guide, Victoria! She explained everything clearly, and we stayed on schedule perfectly. While everyone was getting ready, a light and delicious breakfast (sandwiches, vegetables, fruit, tea/coffee) awaited us. And then the magic began—we watched the sunrise on the boat! It was incredibly beautiful, even though almost everyone was asleep :) We sailed for about an hour and 20 minutes. And... we were the FIRST on the island! It exceeded all expectations. Just us, silence, a pinkish sky, and unrealistically white sand. The Similan Islands are a whole other world. The guide shared some interesting facts about the islands' formation—it was very educational. Next, we went snorkeling. We didn't see any turtles, but the corals and fish were simply stunning! Then there was another snorkeling spot, and then we moved to another island. A delicious lunch awaited us there (shrimp, squid, noodles, fruit). We spent about 2.5 hours on this island: rocks, swings over the water, a heavenly beach—absolutely delightful! What I recommend to future travelers: 1. Choose an early departure! It's hard, but it's 100% worth it. You'll see the islands deserted and truly magical. 2. Pack beautiful outfits: dresses, swimsuits, hats, and chokers. The photos turn out fabulous! At the end of the trip (upon arrival), we had dinner (hot dishes, salads, appetizers, and ice cream), which I personally found to be very filling. A special thank you to the Treasure Island team! The organization was top-notch: everything was smooth and on time, and any issues were resolved immediately. The group was small, so we felt especially cared for and coordinated. If you want to see the Similans without the crowds, in comfort and with your soul, this is the perfect option. Thank you for an unforgettable day!

We returned today from the Similan Islands 7 excursion. It was absolutely amazing. The locations, the nature, the sea's incredible colors! Thanks to the early departure, our group was everywhere first, and we were able to calmly take beautiful photos without strangers in the background. Our guide, Victoria, organized our travels perfectly, suggesting where to go, what to see, and how to get the best shots! Three meals a day was a total surprise; we couldn't finish the dinner upon arrival at the pier. Everything was delicious and there was plenty of it. Drinking water was freely available throughout the trip. The sleepless night was worth the experience!!! Thank you so much, "Treasure Island." We'll definitely be back!

Rating 10+ If you ask me if I'd do this tour again, I'll definitely say yes, and only with this company. You know why? "A boy said, a boy done." I watched Pavel Volya, who joked about getting up at 2 a.m. to go to the Similans. They promised to be the first, but there were crowds of tourists there. Well, Treasure Island kept its promise... we were the first and only on the island. Well done, guys... if it's a tour, then only with Treasure Island. Keep up the good work, good luck to you. And yes, next year I'll definitely do the Similans again, but I'd like to meet the sunrise from the observation deck of Sail Rock. Guide Vika deserves a personal bonus for her work. Great job, she's informative and easy-going, as if I've known her for 100 years.

Insanely beautiful islands. A cheerful guide. A pleasant Thai crew. The only downsides are the very early start and the long drive back, but that's all understandable.

The exceptionally beautiful views on this tour will leave no one indifferent. And with his great sense of humor and charisma, guide Alexander added a wonderful atmosphere to the trip. This isn't our first tour with Treasure Island, and we'll be visiting many more interesting places. Thank you so much for the interesting excursions and the great atmosphere ❤️

We went on a tour with Andrey to the Similan Islands, and it was simply unforgettable! The Similan Islands are a true gem of the Andaman Sea. The crystal-clear water, incredible coral reefs, and diverse marine life captivated us from the very first moment we arrived at the island. We especially enjoyed the snorkeling – we saw colorful fish, sea turtles, and even a couple of beautiful corals. Everything was organized very professionally: the boat was comfortable, and the time spent on each island was perfectly timed to allow us to enjoy the natural beauty and take lots of photos. Special thanks to Andrey and the Thai team for the friendly atmosphere in the group and their positive attitude – they made everything easy and fun. The Thai girls were very sweet; they handed out motion sickness pills, helped us take lots of amazing photos, and fed us deliciously. The tour left us with a wealth of impressions, a boost of energy, and inspiration for new adventures. I recommend the Similan Islands to anyone who wants to experience the true natural beauty of Thailand. This trip will remain in your memory for a long time!

Everyone enjoyed the excursion, despite the gloomy weather. The places are truly beautiful – worth seeing at least once. And it's definitely worth getting up early and paying a little extra for the nighttime excursion – we spent the entire morning wandering around an empty island. And then, people slowly started arriving. By the end of our excursion, boats began arriving more rapidly at the last island, and we realized it had all been worth it. We had a guide, Andrey, who closely monitored the Thai team's performance, was always ready to help, and patiently answered all our questions. There were also two Thai women in the group who spoke fluent Russian – very cool – and they also made sure everyone was comfortable. The staff really cared about our comfort. We were fed well all three times.

We went on a tour of the Similan Islands with Andrey. Everything went great: the transfer arrived on time, the boat ride was comfortable, we arrived first on the island, and we saw a turtle underwater, tons of fish, and other interesting creatures. Delicious food, kind and helpful staff, and, of course, incredible views. Thank you!

We went on a tour of the Similan Islands with Andrey, I want to say a huge thank you) Incredibly beautiful!!
For comfortable planning, it's recommended to book a tour to the Similan Islands at least 3 days before your desired trip date. This is the minimum time for a guaranteed spot. However, during peak season (December-February), especially during holidays (New Year, Chinese New Year), spots fill up very quickly, and it's better to book 1-2 weeks in advance. The number of tourists in the national park is limited daily to protect the ecosystem, so when the quota is full, new bookings are not accepted. Early booking also allows you to choose a convenient date and get better transfer from your hotel.
January, February, and March are absolutely the best months to visit the Similan Islands with ideal weather conditions. Average air temperature stays stable around +30-32°C during the day, the sea warms up to a comfortable +27-28°C. The sky is predominantly clear and sunny, rain is virtually excluded (probability less than 5%). The sea is calm with minimal waves, making swimming and snorkeling maximally comfortable. Underwater visibility reaches 30-40 meters - ideal for observing marine life. Humidity is moderate, around 70-75%. This is peak tourist season, so book in advance.
The best time to visit the Similan Islands is from November to April. This is the high season when the sea is calm, underwater visibility is excellent (up to 30-40 meters), and the weather is consistently sunny. Peak months are January, February, and March, when there are virtually no rains or storms. During this time, air temperature is around +30°C, water warms up to +28°C. November and April are transitional months, also good for trips, but with a slight chance of brief rains.
From Phuket to the Similan Islands, the journey takes approximately 1.5 hours by speedboat. First, you'll be picked up from your hotel and brought to the pier (about 1-1.5 hours by bus), then by boat to the islands. Total time from hotel to islands is about 3-3.5 hours including transfer. Return journey is similar. The boats are modern and comfortable, with comfortable seating and sun protection, making the trip enjoyable.
No, there is no Wi-Fi on the Similan Islands and no internet or mobile connection at all. The islands are located 70 kilometers from the mainland in the open sea, where there is no mobile operator coverage. This is a completely autonomous national park zone without electricity and modern infrastructure. See this as an opportunity for a digital detox and complete immersion in nature! You can enjoy the beauty of the underwater world and beaches without distraction from messages and calls. Upon returning to the mainland, connection will be restored.
No, it's impossible to pay by bank card on the Similan Islands. The islands are a protected national park without developed tourist infrastructure, electricity, or internet. Therefore, card payment terminals are not available. If you want to buy souvenirs at the small shop on the islands or leave tips for the crew and guide, bring cash Thai baht with you. Usually 500-1000 baht is sufficient. All main services (transfer, meals, equipment) are already included in the tour price that you pay when booking.
Yes, visiting the Similan Islands with children is quite possible and safe! It's recommended to bring children from 4 years old, as younger ones may find the long boat ride difficult. Special children's life jackets in appropriate sizes are provided for all children without exception. The islands have gentle beaches where children can swim safely. Snorkeling with children is conducted in shallow water under constant supervision of instructors. Many families with children have a wonderful time observing colorful fish in the crystal-clear water.
Medical travel insurance for visiting the Similan Islands is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend obtaining it. The tour price already includes basic national park insurance that covers accidents during the tour. However, it has limited coverage. Comprehensive travel insurance will protect you from unforeseen medical expenses, cover assistance for injuries, coral cuts, sunburns, seasickness, and other cases. It may also include evacuation and repatriation, which is especially important on remote islands.
If you're prone to seasickness, there are several ways to ease the condition. All boats have seasickness tablets on board that can be obtained free from the crew - it's best to take them 30-60 minutes before departure. Choose a seat in the center of the boat where motion is felt the least. Avoid a heavy breakfast before the trip, but don't go on an empty stomach - a light snack is ideal. Look at the horizon, not at waves or your phone. Fresh air helps - try to stay on the open deck. The journey to the islands takes only 1.5 hours, so any discomfort will be temporary.
The Similan Islands and Phi Phi Islands are two completely different destinations, each with its own advantages. Choose the Similans if your priority is world-class snorkeling and diving with crystal-clear water, incredible underwater world, healthy coral reefs, and pristine nature. The Similans are a national park with no hotels or bars, but with solitude and pristine beauty. Choose Phi Phi if you want famous photogenic beaches (like Maya Bay), more opportunities for beach relaxation, cafes, and entertainment. Ideally - visit both places to get a complete picture of the beauty of the Andaman Sea!
